What Others Say

Jeremy has a great message to share with today’s youth–they need to hear it. Anything is possible! I think he’s a fantastic motivator and the world needs to hear his story.Lacey Southwick, Director of Housing, Emory & Henry College
Wow! I don’t think you understand how God just spoke to me through you. (At least I think it was God…I’m going to go with yes). I am struggling with my own Idols similar to what yours was (one of them being food). And during my “faith re invention” you can call it, I found myself today just praying to God to show me what I needed to see today and I think this was it. So I thank you for that.Shaun Michael McClardy, Student
…Jeremy has a nice, easy going, yet very funny style. I find him very engaging and entertaining…Melanie Vare, Award Winning Live Event Producer and Author
I Love what this man does! So many kids out there need to hear his message…Geoff Hunker, Director of Worship for Chandler Christian Church, Chandler AZ
Jeremy did a wonderful job. I especially appreciate his ability to keep the audience’s attention. So many speakers, these days, just go on about their monologue to the point where it seems they’re only interested in hearing themselves talk through their rehearsed speech. Jeremy’s presentation, however, was more like a conversation. It was a breath of fresh air. I especially liked that he took time to have a question and answer session after our event. It really showed that he was there because he cared, not just because he wanted to speak.Melanie Guidas, Event Planner, Circleville United Methodist Church

Confessions of a Reformed Sandwich Assassin:

When people hear that I’ve lost over 200 lbs, normally 3 questions come to mind. “How did you lose that much weight?” “Can you help me lose weight?” “How in the world did you get so overweight that you needed to lose so much in the first place?”

In this talk, I cover everything from committing grand larceny for boxes of girl scout cookies to getting kicked out of an amusement park for being “too fat to ride.” I then open up about many of the defining moments in my weight loss journey (like my first gym experience) and then close the event by sharing my 3 paramount success strategies that have allowed me to lose the weight and keep it off for the past 13 years.

Laughing My Pants Off: Can Humor Cure Obesity?

In this Tedx featured talk, I mesh humor and science as I dissect a few key moments and memories of my journey towards a healthy, sustainable weight. This message pulls its heart from the reality that year after year Americans spend millions of dollars pursuing weight loss and yet, as a nation, we’re more overweight than we’ve ever been. But why? Simply put, we’re not asking the right questions and because of that, we’re not actually solving any of our weight loss problems. This message entertains and offers scientifically based insight and ideas as to why obesity is an epidemic in our country and how we as individuals, and as a community, can end it.

Being an EveryDay Hero:

We’ve transitioned from a generation that asks “What do I want to be when I grow up” to a culture that asks; “What problem(s) do I want to solve when I’m old enough and able?” And while everyone may not have a dream to change the world as a whole, everyone wishes to have a life of impact. From something as grandiose as being a rock star to help save the world from listening to mediocre pop-music, to being the best mother or father possible so their kids don’t have to grow up in the broken home they did, everyone desires to live out their purpose. This message is designed to not only discover and hone in on what that is, but also to provide practical steps to start pursing it today.

Confessions of a Reformed Sandwich Assassin: (Youth Edition)

While keeping the same wit and charm of the “General Session” version, this option is designed specifically for a youth audience. With that in mind, I’m a little more deliberately ADD and animated. This allows me to include stories from both high school and college that focus on how weight loss allowed me to find my true identity as a person as well as how that relates to them. This message really unpacks my unique perspective of merging science with emotion as I establish how body image, weight loss and self esteem can all work together for optimal health.

Confessions of a Reformed Sandwich Assassin: (Women’s Event Edition)

While keeping the same wit and charm of the “General Session” version, this option is designed specifically for a predominantly female audience. With that in mind, I am able to include practical examples from how my wife and I walked through her pregnancies and subsequent post-pregnancy weight loss as well as how we’ve found time to make fitness work as parents. This message really unpacks my unique perspective of merging science with emotion as I establish how body image, weight loss and self esteem can all work together for optimal health.

Confessions of a Reformed Sandwich Assassin:

The truth is that sometimes we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do. While this version of “Reformed” approaches my story with the same humor and honesty of the “General- Session” version, this option is designed specifically for a male audience. With that in mind, I am able to include practical examples from my days playing organized sports, what influential athletes have taught me as well as how Jonny Manzel made me a better father. This message really unpacks my unique perspective of merging science with emotion as I establish how pride, weight loss and self esteem can all work together for optimal health.
